Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the importance of knowledge of data analysis and Business Intelligence, with the help of Power BI software, for engineers who work or wish to work in management positions in the job market. Without knowledge of these business analysis tools, engineers would not be able to analyze data with the agility and effectiveness that business processes require. The methodology used to develop the study was qualitative research, seeking to understand the impact and importance of data analysis in a practical case study, analyzing continuity dashboards. After careful analysis of the research, the result of the study was that Business Intelligence increases the career prospects of engineers. After all, it is knowledge that is highly valued in the job market and engineers with skills in Power BI are now highly sought after for management positions.
