O filme como ferramenta pedagógica na educação: a docência e sua representação em obra audiovisual a partir da análise do filme "O triunfo"

Abstract

The study approaches the film as a pedagogical tool in education and the teacher representation in an audiovisual work. The objective is to analyze the contribution of this pedagogical tool in education, taking as a reference the pedagogical practice of the teacher as an active agent in the teaching and learning process. From this, the teaching activity was characterized, the conceptions of education that permeate the educational process from a critical and meaningful perspective were identified, the space destined to the audiovisual work in the political-pedagogical project of the Pedagogy course of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) was investigated and then the contribution of "school movies" such as "The Triumph"(The Ron Clark Story, USA, 2006) in the teacher’s formation, in the educational process and in the pedagogical practice of the teacher was evidenced. To reach the proposed objectives, the methodology used was a qualitative research of bibliographic nature and documentary and audiovisual analysis. To support the discussions, we gathered the contribution of authors such as Napolitano (2003), Freire (1994; 1996), Libâneo (1990; 2004), Farias et al. (2014), Franco (2012), Braga (2015) and Duarte (2002). The results reveal that films contribute as enriching tools in pedagogical practice in the classroom, and can also be used in teaching representation in the context of teacher training, promoting critical reflections on the teaching work and its role in the students' formative process. To conclude, it was found that "school movies" such as "The Triumph"(The Ron Clark Story, USA, 2006) have their importance in the exposure of teacher representation, and can collaborate to promote discussions about training and teaching work.
