Observar, investigar e ensinar: a importância do estágio supervisionado em Educação Infantil para a formação do pedagogo

Abstract

This study aims to reflect on the importance of the supervised internship experience in the training of future teachers, with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. Based on bibliographic research and an experience report conducted in a preschool group (Infantil I) within the municipal education network of Fortaleza, the study seeks to understand how the internship contributes to the construction of teaching identity by offering pedagogy students concrete experiences that integrate theory and practice. By engaging with the daily routine of a daycare center, future educators have the opportunity to observe, participate in, and analyze pedagogical practices, developing a sensitive perspective and active listening toward children's needs and the demands of the teaching profession. Professional training becomes more meaningful as the internship allows for real-life experiences, encouraging the intern to reflect on their role, actions, and the concepts underlying their practice. The study concludes that the internship in Early Childhood Education is an essential component in the pedagogical training process, preparing students for future classroom challenges and fostering the development of key skills, knowledge, and attitudes for ethical, critical, and meaningful teaching—both for teachers and for children.
