Abstract: Considerable efforts have been devoted to developing adsorbents capable of retain CO2 either via direct capture from air, or via more sophisticated systems such as biogas, a mixture from which methane can be upgraded. In this work, we present an experimental investigation of zeolite NaA, grown over alkaline-treated fiberglass, synthesized by means of hydrothermal route and tested as adsorbent for CO2 removal in the CO2/CH4 mixture. Zeolite NaA was successfully obtained, with absence of secondary phases, as detailed by the characterization results. Adsorption experiments, presented in terms of isotherms, demonstrated the potential of the synthesized material as a selective CO2 adsorbent with potential to be applied for biogas enrichment.
