Inspeção predial: estudo de caso do bloco 1 da FEAAC da Universidade Federal do Ceará

Abstract

Building inspection is an extremely important engineering activity, as it enables the identification of any problems in buildings and consequently presents the actions to be taken to mitigate these problems. In recent years this issue has gained notoriety in the country due to the occurrence of several accidents in buildings and the implementation of legislation and standards that address this issue. In this way, this service has a fundamental role in the correct functioning of the buildings, enabling the performance of preventive or corrective

building maintenance, thus extending the durability and ensuring the comfort and safety of its users. This work deals with a case study where a building inspection was carried out in the FEAAC block 1 of the Federal University of Ceará in the city of Fortaleza. The work was carried out in accordance with the specifications provided for in local legislation as well as current standards and the technical recommendations presented are based on knowledge of civil engineering, aiming at the correct mitigation of problems taking into account technical and economic aspects. The final object of this work is the presentation of a technical report with the main problems identified, organizing them in order of priorities, as well as the actions to be adopted by the responsible bodies in order to adapt the building to the required standards.
