| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Nas últimas duas décadas, ocorreram diversas crises econômicas e financeiras internacionais que afetaram a economia de diversos países. O Brasil não tem sido imune aos efeitos negativos dessas crises, que tiveram consequências diversas nos setores financeiros, produtivos, no mercado de trabalho e na Previdência Social. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as principais crises financeiras ocorridas nas últimas duas décadas, seus efeitos na estrutura do mercado de trabalho brasileiro e seus impactos para a previdência social do Brasil. Para isto utilizou-se como metodologia uma abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa baseada em dados oficiais sobre o mercado de trabalho e a previdência social e uma pesquisa bibliográficadocumental. A pesquisa concluiu que as crises financeiras ocorridas em diversos países, no período de 1990 a 2011, tiveram seus efeitos negativos na economia brasileira, alterando a estrutura do mercado de trabalho e consequentemente impactando na previdência social. Porém, a estabilidade econômica vivida pelo Brasil atrelado às medidas tomadas para amenizar os efeitos da crise financeira de 2008, diminuíram os efeitos negativos dessas crises sobre o mercado de trabalho e o sistema previdenciário na última década. |
| Abstract: | In the last two decades, several international economic and financial crises have affected the economy of many countries. Brazil has not been immune to the negative effects of these crises, which have different consequences in the financial, production, labor market and social security fields. The aim of this study was to analyze the major financial crises that happened in the last two decades, their effects on the structure of the Brazilian labor market and their impacts on social welfare in Brazil. The methodology of this study used a qualitative and quantitative approach based on official data on the labor market and social security as well as a bibliographical research. This study found that financial crises have occurred in several countries over the period 1990 to 2011, had negative effects on the Brazilian economy, changing the structure of the labor market and consequently impacting social security. However, Brazil has been experiencing economic stability, which is linked to the measures taken to mitigate the effects of the financial crisis of 2008, and that decreased the negative effects of these crises on the labor market and pension system in the last decade. |
