| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Investiga-se a questão do sistema prisional brasileiro, tratando desde a evolução da pena no mundo ocidental e no ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, bem como o surgimento da pena de prisão e como esta adquiriu o significado que tem hoje, até o questionamento sobre as práticas adotadas para reinserir o preso. Também discute se essas práticas são eficazes na reinserção do egresso à sociedade brasileira. Considerando a precariedade do sistema prisional, é importante analisar os métodos aplicados na reinserção social e refletir acerca de quais desses métodos são eficazes ao seu fim, evitando, assim, o colapso dentro das unidades prisionais. |
| Abstract: | Investigates the issue of the Brazilian prison system, bringing to the case since the issue of the evolution of the sanction in the Western world and in the Brazilian legal system, as well as the appearance of the prison sentence and how this acquired the meaning that it has today, until the questioning of the practices adopted to reinsert the arrested into society. Also discuss if these practices are effective in the reintegration of the inmate to the Brazilian society. Considering the precariousness of the brazilian prison system, it is important to analyze the methods applied in the social reintegration and reflect which of these methods are effective to their purpose, thus avoiding the collapse within the prison units. |
