Os usos sociais da cidade: o caso dos pescadores no Parque Ecológico do Cocó

Abstract

To analyze the uses of public space in the city of Fortaleza, specifically in Coco Ecological Park, and the conflicts and tensions arising from these appropriations was the objective of this research. The Park Coco was juridically demarcated in 1989. However, due to bureaucratic issues, the park does not have any legal existence, which hinders the formal demarcation of uses accepted and restrained in and around of this space. Conversations, semi-structured interviews and ethnography of the uses were researched tools applied at the time of the survey. Foucault (1972; 1972; 2005), Certeau (1994), Bourdieu (1996; 2009) and Elias (2001) are the main theoretical tools used in the article, a hung agreement through dialogue and theoretical divergence that give birth to an apparatus relevant to the fields of theoretical analysis proposed in this analysis. The research that seized power relations in the Park are given in a space of continuous social tension, crossed by disciplinary institutions and diverse cultural practices undertaken by no less diverse social subjects, which, having a strength of agency not restricted to legitimate power, draw up and acts within the system to which this relationships.
