Memória transcestral, memória presente: histórias e fabulações de identidades transfemininas na cidade de Crato -CE

Abstract

“Memória Trancestral, Memória Presente” investigates the memories and transfeminineidentities in the city of Crato, highlighting the life trajectories of Capela, Lacraia, WiarlleySpears, and Lohaynne Rodrigues, with the aim of bringing visibility to often marginalizedstories. Using an ethnographic methodology that combines theoretical research and artisticpractices, such as fabulation and photopainting, the project records these experiences whilesimultaneously laying the groundwork for the recovery of Crato’s trans memory. Therelationship between body and territory emerges as a key element in understanding how socialand cultural dynamics shape the lives of transfeminine communities. The result is a websitethat serves as a platform promoting the continuous recording of these memories, allowingnew stories to be shared and preserved. In addition to expanding the reach of transfemininenarratives, the site fosters active community participation and ensures that these memoriesremain alive and visible. The work envisions a future with more research and initiatives thatvalue the diversity and resilience of transvestigender identities.
