Literatura LGBTQI+, leitores e suas apropriações: uma análise da obra Enquanto eu não te encontro de Pedro Rhuas

Abstract

The paper in question is motivated by an approach to LGBTQIAPN+ literature, as well as its effect on readers, using the narrative of the novel 'Enquanto Eu Não Te Encontro' by Brazilian author Pedro Rhuas as an application. Reading is a communicational process expressed as a symbolic action of representation of the world and understanding this, it was observed that LGBTQIAPN+ literature has been gaining strength over the years in Brazil. That said, the general objective of this research is to analyze the appropriations and reading practices that can be presented by queer people, as they read a work of LGBTQIAPN+ literature. In relation to the specific objectives, the research aims to: a) analyze the literary work 'Enquanto Eu Não Te Encontro' and, from this, understand the appropriations that can arise from reading it; b) know the profile of readers of the work and c) observe the level of identification the reader finds within the story of the work. In the theoretical framework, the study sought to describe the mediation and appropriation of information and reading, analyze the work and the author, and also build a historical context, as well as explaining the informational behavior of readers. It is worth noting that the sections of the theoretical framework were directly linked to the chapter titles of the work analyzed in order to show the connection between the research and the book. In order to achieve the objectives, the methodological procedure adopted was an exploratory bibliographical

study using the content analysis method and of a qualitative nature, using a semi- structured questionnaire with objective and subjective questions as the data collection

instrument. The results obtained showed that literary works such as 'Enquanto Eu Não Te Encontro' contribute to the identity and representativeness of the LGBTQIAPN+ community, and it was concluded that the presence of these works in information environments is necessary, after all, a work not only needs to talk to its users, but also present new ways of seeing reality and this needs to be a guideline for mediating librarians.
