Abstract: | The accelerated development of new technologies in the wireless communication systems has strengthened the data transmission services. Consequently, the implementation of algorithms to offer high quality services becomes necessary. Therefore, in this work, we propose a Cross-Layer algorithm which implements cooperation between the application and the physical layers. In the application layer, it considers a video codification, which generates frames of type I and P. In the physical layer, a hybrid Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) scheme with partial channel knowledge at the transmitter exploits spatial diversity gain. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the performance of the system providing better video quality perceived by the end user. |
