Intervenção educativa sobre os cuidados do recém-nascido prematuro em Unidade Canguru

Abstract

The educational process in the neonatal units, where a mother / family can help take care of their child, besides favoring a process of adaptation and preparation, help as mothers break obstacles in the return home with their baby, making them autonomous in this process . The objective of the study is to promote with the mothers, without the context of the Kangaroo Method, educational strategies that strengthen maternal self-efficacy for newborn care in a maternity hospital in Fortaleza-CE. A descriptive exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, having as theoretical reference the ethnographic method recommended by Nurse Madeleine Leininger, called ethno-nursing. It was noticed during the study that some people have prior knowledge about some subjects debated, although often still have many insecurity and doubts. It is concluded that it is necessary for a nursing team to continuously provide adequate support to women who undergo major transformations in their lives, thus promoting maternal self-efficacy.
