As narrativas dos livros didáticos de história e a construção de identidades: o papel in(formativo) da leitura

Abstract

This article deals with reading as formation and formation as reading. Formation is thus presented assomething that can modify us. In order to discuss the desire of formation, it questions the reading as the representation of the real and present, as an alternative, and the reading as an institution of lhe real. The reading that represents the real has contributed to produce identities causing discomfort to both men and women. An example of this are the ideas transmitted by the books of History. They present identities historically produced suchas blacks, whites, natives, colonizers, Westem, etc as if they were natural.
