Adaptação transcultural e validação da escala axiológica de la hospitalidad (eah) para língua portuguesa do Brasil

Abstract

Hospitality in health can be understood as one of the expressions of care perceived as a set of qualified, humanized, and welcoming characteristics through comprehensive views of the human being. Despite the relevance of the theme, there is a gap regarding specific instruments for measuring this construct in Brazil. Understanding the importance of assessing hospitality in health services, the aim is to obtain a reliable instrument capable of evaluating this construct, in addition to contributing to the publication of an instrument that can be used by health professionals to promote comprehensive, safe, and humanized care. This study aimed to carry out transcultural adaptation and validation of the Axiological Hospital Scale (EAH) for the Portuguese language of Brazil. It is methodological research, developed in two phases. The stages followed were Initial Translation, Synthesis of Translations and Back Translation or Back Translation, review by a Committee of Experts, pre-test, and construct validation (BEATON et al., 2007). Initially, was carried out the instrument’s transcultural adaptation process, with the participation of 9 expert judges. The next step was to the validation of the adapted version of the EAH, through its application to a sample of 30 professionals, from the health area of the Regional Hospital of Unimed Fortaleza - HRU. In the content validation, all presented satisfactory Content Validity Index (CVI) regarding equivalence and clarity; the total CVI was 0.99 and reliability was considered excellent (Intraclass Correlation Coefficient - ICC = 0.93). In the pre-test, the EAH-Brazilian demonstrated to be comprehensible to the health professional, of easy and fast filling. The validation of the construct was performed with 203 health professionals from the hospital. In the construct validation, the tests expressed the quality of the fit by the proximity of the conceptual model, considering the values of the indexes presented. The factorial structure demonstrated that the Brazilian version of EAH consists of one dimension and maintained its transcultural validity in the structured model, thus ensuring its effectiveness and stability. It is concluded that the content validity of EAH-Br resulted in an instrument that operated the Hospitality construct and the values obtained in this stage ensured its validity and reliability.
