Abstract

This memorial reports the stages of development, pre-production, filming, and post-production of the film “Just a Plastic Bag”, directed by Luan Oliveira. In this animated short film, the dilemmas and reflections of a young man who wishes to become a plastic bag are presented, as he seeks to free himself from the pain caused by human emotions and anxieties. In the position of a plastic bag, he meditates on his fears, his relationships, and his existence in the world, and begins to consider how willing he is to face each of these issues. In this memorial, in addition to the stages of producing a cutout animation, the thematic decisions, audiovisual references, and the filmmaker’s inspirations will be explained.
