| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Neste artigo é apresentada uma revisão sobre os cultivos celulares no tocante à virologia diagnóstica e seu uso como método de diagnóstico para lentivírus ovino, através de uma melhoria ocasionada pela introdução de uma linhagem celular denominada TIGEF, considerada um avanço para melhor estudar as características biológicas e moleculares das infecções ovinas por lentivírus. |
| Abstract: | This article presents a review of cell culture concerning diagnostic virology and its use for ovine lentivirus diagnosis, through the improvement caused due to the introduction of a cell line named TIGEF, considered an advance for better study of the biological and molecular characteristics of ovine lentivirus infection. |
