| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este trabalho teve o objetivo de identificar e quantificar os níveis de degradação da cobertura vegetal na área da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Jaibaras/CE, no período de 24 anos, mais precisamente, nos anos de 1985, 1992, 1996, 2007 e 2009. Através do uso de técnicas de processamento digital de imagens foram elaborados os mapas temáticos dos níveis de degradação da cobertura vegetal, sendo mesma classificada em: vegetação conservada, parcialmente degradada, degradada, fortemente degradada e solo exposto. A partir da análise empreendida constatou-se o desgaste e a evolução dos níveis de deterioração da vegetação da área estudada. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to identify and quantify the levels of degradation of the vegetation in the area of River Basin Jaibaras / CE in the period 24 years, more precisely, in the years 1985, 1992, 1996, 2007 and 2009. Through the use of techniques of digital image processing were produced thematic maps of the levels of degradation cover, being ranked the same: vegetation conserved, partially degraded, degraded, severely degraded and bare soil. From the analysis undertaken it was found and the evolution of the wear levels deterioration of the vegetation of the area studied. |
