| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | A classe Gastropoda possui o maior número de espécies dentro do filo Mollusca. Q uando se trata de conservação , ela apresenta uma situação preocupante por possuir um grande número de espécies ameaçadas ou ext intas, principalmente entre os gastrópodes terrestres e de água doce . No Brasil, o quadro é ainda pior pelo fato de os estudos sobre estes animais não serem suficientes para abranger toda a riqueza do país e por existirem poucos especialistas na área. O s o bjetivo s deste trabalho foram r ealizar o levantamento dos gastrópodes terrestres e de água doce que ocorrem na Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural (RPPN) Monte Alegre, localizada na Serra de Aratanha, Pacatuba, Ceará, e fornecer informações acerca des ses animais. Coletas foram feitas nesse local entre os anos de 2015 e 2017. Foram contabilizados, no total, 363 animai s pertencentes a sete famílias e a quatorze espécies. As informações sobre as famílias e espécies encontradas foram discutidas ao longo do texto e concluiu se que as espécies de gastrópodes terrestres e de água doce encontradas são pou co estudada s . Como adição à esta, foi possív el expandir as informações sobre distribuição e aspectos reprodutivos e ecológicos sobre as espécies encontradas, a mpliando o conhecimento sobre elas e permitindo que o interesse sobre esses animais cresça e possibilite a elaboração de estratégias de conservação para os mesmos. |
| Abstract: | The Gastropoda clas s has the highest number of species within the Mollusca phylum. When it comes to conservation, it presents a worrying situation because it has a large number of threatened or extinct species, mainly terrestrial and freshwater gastropods. In Brazil, the pic ture is even worse because studies on these animals are not enough to cover a wealth of the country and because there are few specialists in the area. The objectives of this work are to survey the terrestrial and freshwater gases that occur in the Reserva Particular do Patrimônio Natural (RPPN) Monte Alegre, located in the Serra de Aratanha, Pacatuba, Ceará, provide information on the animals. Collections were made in this place between the years 2015 and 2017. A total of 363 animals belonging to seven fami lies and to fourteen species were counted. The information about the families and the species found were discussed throughout the text and it was concluded that terrestrial and freshwater gastropod species found are little studied. How to adhere to this, i t was possible to expand the informations about distribution and reproductive and ecological aspects of the species founded, expanding the knowledge about them and allowing interest on these animals to grow and enable a conservation strategy for them.
