Abstract: | The aim of this work is to evaluate the influence of welding current and speed in the microstructure of the fusion zone (FZ) and Heat Affected Zone (HAZ). The weldings were carried out with diverse energies and were done the necessary analyses. The increase of welding energy, through variation of current resulted in a bigger fraction of the Widmanstätten phase. On the other hand, the formation de Widmanstätten with the reduction of welding speed was suppressed. The multipass welding promoted a large formation of austenitic phase and the basic microstructures of formed austenitic were allotriomorphic, Widmanstätten and intragranular. The condition of the higher energy (24 kJ/cm) promoted excessive grain growth near the fusion line. |
