| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este artigo visa à discussão sobre a utilização de instrumentos urbanísticos em cidades médias, no Brasil, refletindo na produção do espaço urbano, com ênfase no instrumento Concessão de Direito Real de Uso, tendo como estudo de caso a cidade de Presidente Prudente, localizada no Oeste do Estado de São Paulo. A pesquisa parte dos levantamentos realizados sobre habitação social executados na cidade, focando principalmente nas ações do Poder Público local, e as diretrizes definidas nas políticas públicas municipais, com a perpetuação de ações populistas, mas que beneficiam grande parcela da população. |
| Abstract: | This article discusses the use of urban instruments in medium cities in Brazil, reflecting on the production of urban space, with emphasys in the instrument Concession of Real Right of Use, as a case study the city of Presidente Prudente, located in the western part of São Paulo state. The study uses the surveys carried out on social housing in the city, focusing mainly on the actions of the Municipality, and the guidelines set for the municipal public policies, although we notice the perpetuation of popular actions, but that benefits a large portion of the population. |
