| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este trabalho tem como objetivo problematizar a noção de gênero que circula na atualidade. Para tanto, percorrem-se algumas produções bibliográficas sobre a criação de tal conceito no movimento feminista, sua inserção no debate acadêmico, assim como, busca-se indicar contornos que a noção teve (e continua tendo) dentro das chamadas Ciências Humanas e Sociais. Faz-se o trajeto desde uma concepção de gênero atrelada a uma perspectiva identitária e binária até a compreensão de gênero como uma relação de poder fluída, efeito de práticas sociais que possibilitam variadas maneiras de se relacionar consigo. Compreendida assim, a noção de gênero se configura como uma forma de resistência ao negar a substância de verdade de qualquer que seja a estética de existência. |
| Abstract: | This paper problematizes the notion of gender currently circulating. Such problematization required a bibliographical review on the rise of the concept of gender within the feminist movement, its insertion in the academic debate, and an examination of how the concept has evolved in the human and social sciences. The paper discusses concepts of gender from an identity and binary perspective to a fluid power relationship one. This evolution is due to social practices that have given rise to different ways a person has to relate to themselves. Thus, understanding gender as a fluid concept assigns it a resistance dimension since it denies the substance of truth of any aesthetics of existence. |
