Entre a paideia e a bildung: pistas para uma educação humanística

Abstract

The article gathers reflections on a humanistic education. Drawing from E. Kant, L. Wacquaunt and T.Morus, the author proposes a break with the traditional pedagogy, which is inseparable from the construction of a moral and politica science in an ethical framework. In this perspective, he conceives education as a means to raise the level of civilized living in Brazil, including an alternate proposal for group reading of books, journeys and other ways of amplifying and transmitting culture.
