Através da análise desta narrativa, aponta-se para a função estruturante da cultura na construção da identidade gaúcha, que neste caso, sobrepõe-se também a uma identidade de gênero |
| Abstract: | This paper, first, discusses the notion of culture and cultural identity, in order to focus on the analysis of a mythological narrative of the traditional pastoral culture of the pampa region, in south Brazil. Through the analysis of this narrative, points to the structural role of culture in building Gaucho identity that, in this case, over laps with gender identity. |
