| Resumo: | Á conferência proferida como aula magna e reproduzida em artigo reflete inicialmente sobre a necessidade de articular os ideais provenientes do liberalismo, socialismo, democracia e república como base fundamental para o exercício da boa política. Considera também o autor que a construção da política ocidental passou pela exclusão da temática afetiva, quase sempre associada ao domínio do autoritarismo. Á hipertrofia da racionalidade produziu uma exclusão da ordem afetiva, impondo-se a necessidade de incluí-la na agenda política contemporânea. |
| Abstract: | This is a textual transcript of a distinguished magnum lecture given by the author at the Department of the Social Science, UFC. The pronouncement pointed to the necessity to synthesize ideas inspired by liberalism, socialism, democracy and republic as the kernel of virtuous politics. Despire the fact that the theoretical construction of western politics excluded the affective theme and adopted hyperatrophical rationality, the author defended the inclusion of affection into the contemporary political agenda. |
