Abstract

Sport has the power to evoke emotions in human beings such as joy and sadness, as well as teach valuable lessons like overcoming obstacles and developing leadership. For interested audiences, it also offers inspiring and moving stories. It is from this foundation that Pódio was created, with a special focus on sports in Ceará, aiming to highlight the vast scope of athletics in the state and its relevance to the culture of an entire people. This report aims to present details and provide an understanding of the creation process behind Revista Pódio, a printed publication also available in digital format. The magazine showcases different forms of journalism that can be featured in such a publication, including news reports, opinion columns, interviews, and profiles, in addition to the graphic and editorial design involved in the project. It is believed that there is no other publication with a similar narrative and focus on Ceará, which reinforces the importance of the content presented by Pódio. Finally, the language used throughout the material—light and accessible rather than niche—allows the magazine to reach a broader audience, including people who may not typically follow sports. In doing so, it achieves its goal of bringing greater recognition to sports in Ceará.
