| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Tendo como foco a pesca artesanal do Ceará, este estudo investiga o dinamismo da atividade pesqueira, recorrendo ao uso de fontes secundárias, com a utilização de informações pré-existentes, se valendo da base de dados da Pesca Extrativista Marítima no Estado do Ceará em 2021. Nos resultados do trabalho são apresentados a infraestrutura pesqueira básica disponível nos municípios, além de embarcações utilizadas, tipos de apetrechos empregados na atividade, indicando aqueles presentes nas embarcações, espécies capturadas e o preço médio de comercialização do pescado, revelando a importância da pesca não apenas como uma atividade econômica, mas também como um elemento essencial da identidade cultural e da vida cotidiana das comunidades litorâneas. |
| Abstract: | Focusing on artisanal fishing in Ceará, this study investigates the dynamism of fishing activity, using secondary sources, with the use of pre-existing information, using the database of Maritime Extractive Fishing in the State of Ceará in 2021. The results of the work present the basic fishing infrastructure available in the municipalities, in addition to vessels used, types of gear used in the activity, indicating those present on the vessels, species caught and the average commercial price of fish, revealing the importance of fishing not only as an economic activity, but also as an essential element of the cultural identity and daily life of coastal communities. |
