Melhoria da acessibilidade no sistema usinn modeler

Abstract

Accessibility has become an increasingly relevant and indispensable topic for web systems. In this context, the present work addresses the evaluation of the accessibility of the USINN Modeler system, which supports the creation of diagrams with the USINN notation (USability-oriented INteraction and Navigation Model), with the aim of preventing the system from creating barriers for people with disabilities. To this end, an analysis of the USINN Modeler pages was carried out, using both automatic tools and manual evaluations, following the guidelines of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The evaluation was recorded in a spreadsheet, identifying the success criteria that were in compliance and those that needed improvement. As a result, a plan was made to solve the problems encountered and adapt the system to provide it with better usability and accessibility. After the corrections, the results showed a significant evolution, where the pages became more accessible, as proven both by the automatic evaluation tools and by comparing the spreadsheets, which showed the evolution in the success criteria before and after the adaptation to WCAG standards.
