Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | The CAP from Fazenda Alegre, Es, presented high asphaltenes and low aromatics content. The aging of CAP was realized through RTFOT simulation and the alterations analyzed by GPC which showed an increase of the pick in the high molar weight region with the oxidation time. It was prepared formulations of CAP modified with 2, 5, 8, 12, 17, 22 % of BPM in the presence and in the absence of AR75 (10%). The experimental assays indicated the decrease of the penetration and the increase of the resilience, softening point, viscosity with the BPM content. The presence of AR75 change the final properties of the modified CAP. The recommendations of LandStar Polymer The Asphalt, Inc. 2001, indicate that the CAP modified by 17% of BPM in the presence of AR75 follows the technical patterns. |
