Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | The smart cities have as one of its principles the implementation of an electrical network capable to give answers which can happen everywhere, as well as it can give strategic answers depending on the situation. To make it possible the concept of Smart Meter was created, a device which is capable of measure the energy quantity consumed by a charge and provide the data that was collected in real timing or under request on internet, as well it can receive remote orders implementing a kind of bidirectional communication. This work aims to develop a prototype of an IoT device for monitoring residential energy consumption using a non-invasive current sensor, making the data obtained by a Web application available in real time and to analyze the efficiency of it in the proposed context. Three tests were carried out to validate the prototype; the results obtained were satisfactory. The average relative error of the three tests was 10.21 |
