Abstract: This article is bibliographic and descriptive-exploratory, its objective is to demystify violence as being intrinsic to fights, as well as problematize situations of violence in the context of school physical education (PE) related to this subject matter, pointing out the teaching of fights as a possibility to debate and understand this theme in a broader way. Studies point to the need to discuss the association of fights with violent and aggressive practices, which highlights a gap in the debate on the socio-historical and cultural plurality of these practices. In an attempt to contribute, we carried out a bibliographic survey on the stigma of violence and aggressiveness linked to fights, relating the teaching of these practices to the human development process of the individuals, considering the issues of violence that affect PE classes. We consider relevant a theoretical-methodological approach that demystifies the superficial perception of the teaching of fights, projecting a critical and reflective look on these practices that are part of “Sich Bewegen”, problematizing their varied aspects to approach social, economic, political, philosophical issues, among other environmental demands presented by PE. In summary, we consider that the understanding of the fights must go beyond the technical-tactical knowledge of each practice, immersing themselves in deeper questions that counteract mistaken ideas about the fights, such as their erroneous relationship with situations of violence. It is then necessary to guide them in a complex perspective to systematize fights as elements in the dynamics of culture
