Levantamento florístico das espécies arbóreas e arbustivas localizadas nas vias de acesso da fazenda Domingos Pontes, Caucaia - CE

Abstract

Floristic survey is a biodiversity study that aims to identify the floristic variety of a region, being the basis for the elaboration of forest management plans. The conservation of endemic species is important as they perform vital ecological functions for the preservation of their biomes. Knowing how to differentiate native from exotic species and locate them in the area of interest helps in the execution of management strategies and avoids the cultivation of plants with the potential to become invasive. Given the need to obtain information about native species available at Domingos Pontes Farm, located in the municipality of Caucaia, for mapping matrices for seed collection, this work was carried out, which consists of a floristic survey of the shrub-arboreal stratum. by the walking method, on the two access roads of the property. Thirty-six species were identified, of which 20 are native to the caatinga, distributed in 20 botanical families. It was possible to georeference 54 points for monitoring forest matrices.
