Abstract: | The methane dry reforming reaction was studied by varying the parameters of the reaction (temperature and CH4/CO2 ratio) in order to verify the ideal condition for the conversion of CH4, CO2 and production of synthesis gas, as well as verify the kind of coke deposited. The material (Ni/SiO2) was characterized by adsorption isotherms of N2, XDR and TPR and, after the catalytic tests by Raman spectroscopy. The results of catalytic tests show that at high temperatures and high CH4/CO2 ratio it is possible to achieve carbon dioxide consumption next to 80% and production of synthesis gas with (H2/CO) ratio near the unit. The analysis of Raman spectroscopy points to the multi wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) formation and amorphous carbon. |
