| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Aborda questões referentes a sociedade da informação e as transformações que estão ocorrendo devido a mesma, bem como a inserção do Brasil e sua consolidação nesta sociedade, sendo necessário, para isso, garantir ao indivíduo o acesso a educação e a informação. Enfoque histórico e social da biblioteca de um modo geral. Analisa a importância da biblioteca especializada nesta sociedade que está voltada para a obtenção do conhecimento, tomando por base o caso da biblioteca do Senac, no qual foram averiguados o seu histórico, objetivos e serviços prestados. Apresenta uma entrevista com o bibliotecário coordenador da biblioteca do Senac |
| Abstract: | Addressing questions conceming the inforrnation society and the changes that are occurring because of it, as well as the inclusion of Brazil and its consolidation in this society, is needed in order to ensure the individual's access to education and inforrnation. Focus and social history of the library in general. It examines the importance of the specialized library in this society that is geared towards obtaining the knowledge, taking as a basis the case of the library's Senac, which were investigated its history, goals and services. Presents an interview with the librarian coordinator ofthe library's Senac. |
