| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Dalcídio Jurandir (1909-1979) publicou de 1941 a 1978 dez romances que “formam um panorama amazônico sem paralelo na literatura brasileira” (Pedro Maligo) e recebeu dois dos mais importantes prêmios literários brasileiros: 1941 e 1972. O autor permanece ignorado pelos críticos literários e classificado como “regionalista menor”. A obra de Jurandir, um dos mais fascinantes prosadores brasileiros da Modernidade está à margem do cânone da literatura nacional. Observa-se um interesse crescente para a obra de Jurandir, estimulado, de um lado, pela complexidade da estrutura narrativa, de outro, pela discussão sobre a historiografia da literatura brasileira. |
| Abstract: | From 1941 and 1978, Dalcídio Jurandir, a native of the state of Pará, published ten novels “that were to comprise a unparalleled Amazonian panorama” (Pedro Maligo) and was a winner of two of the most longest-established prizes in Brazil in 1941 and 1972. Jurandir remains largely ignored by literary critics, bat classified like “regional author” the second class. The fascinated modern work of Jurandir lives outside the classic brazilian literature. It´s interesting to see on the one hand, a new atention for a work and his complicated structur of narrative and, the other hand, his significati for a brazilian literature history. |
