Algumas considerações a respeito do vocabulário de Arthur de Salles na obra Poemas do Mar

Abstract

Arthur de Salles'vocabulary shows rich and varied. In it, we observe the presence of archaisms, neologisms, associated words to the parnasianism and symbolist aesthetics, technical terms, among others. In his texts, the author values as many common language words that they associated to regional reality, for him lived intensely, as those that result of his own readings, recovering facts and characters of the History, names of places, the adventures, the conquests, the legends and the superstitions. For treating of a sea work, we will emphasize the nautical vocabulary, being taken some lexical fields for study.
