A curraleira enquanto expressão cultural do Cerrado

Abstract

The present approach intends to make a correlation between the natural and the cultural ecosystems through the dance of “Currraleira”, an unfolding of the popular manifestations of the Brazilian Savanna. In the main territory where the agribusiness advances traces of environmental preservation persist amid folk culture of small rural communities which still preserve their customs and traditions, different form the urban areas. The dance itself portrays intrinsic patterns of preservation and revitalization and would be a reasonable way of understanding the socio-environmental problem. Ecolinguistics among all ecologic sciences maybe the one that most demands a regional linguisticcultural specialty, due to the current centralizing stage which still persists in grouping together knowledge uniformly. In this sense, it stands as an ecological vision of the world and it helps to understand the constant processes of transformation of scenarios in postmodernity.
