| Resumo: | O trabalho tem o propósito de repensar o espaço do templo protestante a partir de uma demanda real, um edifício que seja adequado às atividades da congregação sob os aspectos únicos de suas doutrinas e que a fé transcendesse na arquitetura de uma forma não literal, pois, neste contexto, crer é ter fé no invisível, no não manifestado. Inicia-se com uma definição de protestantismo, em seguida faz-se uma regressão à história do protestantismo no Brasil e no Ceará, uma breve análise dos templos protestantes e de sua importância, bem como da influência da igreja na sociedade, é apresentado então as doutrina da igreja. Logo após é feito um estudo de caso, a fim de cria um repertório de referências arquitetônicas. É desenvolvido um diagnóstico da área escolhida. Por fim, tem como resultado a proposta de um imponente edifício religioso: a Igreja Cristã Gileade, localizada no bairro Mondubim, Fortaleza (CE), que, além de um grande templo, abriga o Memorial do Protestantismo do Ceará e o Centro Social Gileade. |
| Abstract: | The purpose of this project is to rethinking the protestant temple space from a real demand, a building that is suitable to the congregation activities under the unique aspects of their doctrines and that the transcended faith in architecture in a non-literal way, because in this context, believe is to have faith in the invisible, in the unmanifested. It begins with a definition of Protestantism, furthermore it makes a regression to the Protestantism history in Brazil and Ceará, a brief analysis of the Protestant temples and its importance, as well as its influence in the society, then it is presented the doctrines of the church. Right after making a case study, with the purpose to create a repertoire of architectural references. It’s developed a diagnosis of the chosen area. Finally, the result is the propose of a imposing church building: the Gilead Christian Church, localizated in Mondubim neighborhooh, Fortaleza (CE), which besides the big size temple, it contains the Protestant Memorial of Ceará and the Gilead Social Center. |
