dc.description.abstractThis paper aims to analyze the Poker game features related to luck and skill , the market profile of online poker games and live tournaments . The relationship of skill factor was searched on the results of the games of Poker, both online and in live. There was also the performance of the fifteen most profitable players of the year 2014 who played tournaments on the Internet, according to the site Official Poker Rankings. The aim was to identify the existence of regularly profitable players, which would indicate that this is skillful players . Growth was evaluated the live tournament through the data from the most important championship of poker in the world that is the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. In Brazil, we used the main championship data, the Brasilian Series of Poker, to analyze the evolution of the number of participants and prizes.pt_BR

dc.description.abstract-ptbrEsta monografia tem como objetivo analisar as caraterísticas do jogo de Poker referentes a sorte e habilidade, o perfil do mercado dos jogos de Poker online e dos torneios ao vivo. Foi pesquisada a relação do fator habilidade nos resultados dos jogos de Poker, tanto no online como no ao vivo. Verificou-se também, o desempenho dos quinze jogadores mais lucrativos do ano de 2014 que jogaram torneios pela Internet, de acordo com o site Official Poker Ranking. O intuito foi identificar a existência de jogadores regularmente lucrativos, o que indicaria a que esse são jogadores habilidosos. Avaliou-se crescimento dos torneios ao vivo através dos dados do mais importante campeonato de Poker no mundo que é o Evento Principal da World Series of Poker. No Brasil, utilizou-se os dados do principal campeonato, o Brasilian Series of Poker, para analisar a evolução da quantidade de participantes e dos prêmios.pt_BR
