Estudos desenvolvidos em um laboratório de comportamento e bem-estar animal

Abstract

This paper reports the activities developed on a laboratory of behavior and animal welfare, focusing on the use of sprinklers in dairy cattle cooling. The objective was to develop activities related to the several studies elaborated in this area, through the follow-up of the current studies of the Tucker Lab, located in Davis, California, United States. Initially, a phase of adaptation occurred, where the studies already published by the members of the laboratory were reviewed, followed by the preparation of Grazyne’s experiment, post doctor student of the laboratory. Finally, data collection from the experiment and daily management activities were performed. All the activities developed during the internship were performed as proposed by the Tucker Lab, in a way that contributed satisfactorily to my learning in behavior and animal welfare.
