Crenças e atitudes linguísticas de alunos dos cursos da disciplina de língua portuguesa no âmbito da educação a distância

Abstract

To reflect on ‘the speech’ of some writers, the print media, television and digital, reflect on the conversations about language in any sphere of social life; to reflect especially about the Portuguese language in the course of Languages and courses that include in their curriculum matrices that discipline, we observed that there is an univocal concept of the language: in the case of speakers of the language, there is a view that the language is limited to speak and write well, that is, there is a view that the manifestations of our language are synonymous with the materialization of linguistic formalism. Within some higher education courses, specifically, the course of Languages and related fields in distance learning, there is an expectation to learn exclusively the norm, that is, the graduate students have a belief that during the course of Languages or courses that have the discipline of Portuguese language, they will learn the ‘language’ and not ‘about the language’. The objective of this work is based on trying to deconstruct the concept of univocal language in order to show if the Sociolinguistics can work or not, as a positive tool to deconstruct the design of a variety taken as the standard, single, so thus trace pedagogies, books, manuals and instructions about the language studies to students and Language teachers and related fields. Therefore, this work joins sociolinguistic studies to the functionalist studies.
