| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | O objetivo desse trabalho é mostrar uma pequena introdução sobre materiais granulares, suas aplicações e principais trabalhos publicados, como também apresentar um experimento e sua análise quantitativa através de mensurações por fotos digitais. Uma transição de fase será apresentada, baseada nas quantidades mensuradas pelo tratamento das fotos. Uma analogia com a termodinâmica será feita como fonte de elucidação. |
| Abstract: | The aim of this work is to show a short introduction to granular materials, their applications and main published works, as well as an experiment and present its quantitative analysis through measurements by digital photos. A phase transition is presented, based on the quantities measured by the treatment of the photos. An analogy with thermodynamics will be taken as a source of elucidation. |
