Entre as sombras e a memória: escrita autobiográfica de Amos Oz

Abstract

Analysis of the novel of love and darkness, of the writer Amos Oz, from the perspective of the autobiographical writing and the psychology of the individuation. In the novel, one identifies the construction of a subjectivity that has in the trauma of the loss of the mother the force that gives origin to the rememoration. Through this mark of absence, the narrator seeks to fill the fissures of the canvas of life with a deep incursion into Judaism, the history of the Holocaust and the reconstruction of Israel. Thus, through the observation of aspects such as childhood, territory and belonging, cut off from the narrative of his memoirs, we will seek to follow the initial traces of the author's identity elaboration, placing the construction of himself and the presence of otherness in that path in relevance. As support for the reflections that will occur, we mainly observe the concepts proposed by Clara Rocha and George Gusdorf on the autobiographical self, as well as Bachelard's thinking about childhood and memory and Jung's understanding of the self that Insurges in the confessional narration and the construction of the figure of the hero.
