| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar os efeitos da disciplina de Libras nas crenças dos estudantes de Letras sobre essa língua. Para atingirmos esse objetivo, utilizamos a noção de política linguística de Spolsky (2004, 2007, 2009, 2012) e elaboramos um instrumento de coleta de dados constituído por questões objetivas. Para a análise dos dados, utilizamos o software SPSS. Os resultados deste trabalho indicam que as crenças do senso comum dos discentes sobre a Libras são relativamente baixas e que a disciplina de Libras teve um efeito positivo na desconstrução de cinco das sete crenças investigadas. |
| Abstract: | This research aims to investigate the effects of the discipline of Libras in the beliefs of students of Letters about this language. In order to achieve this goal, we use the notion of language policy from Spolsky (2004, 2007, 2009, 2012) and we designed an instrument to collect data composed of objective questions. For data analysis, we used the SPSS software. The results indicate that the beliefs of common sense of the students about Libras are relatively low and the discipline of Libras had a positive effect on deconstruction of five of the seven investigated beliefs. |
