Avaliação da formação do gestor frente aos desafios tecnológicos no ambiente escolar

Abstract

The integration of technologies applied to education brought many implications to the educational process. In this context, the school curriculum has also undergone changes to adapt to the content that is necessary and required by modern society. Based on this assumption, the need arises to investigate the training of the school leader in regards to the incorporation of technology in the school environment. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the process of training of school leaders. As for the study’s methodology, it is a field research project that is applied and descriptive with a qualitative approach. The study was conducted with the participants of the Training Course for Educational Leaders in the Latu Sensu Postgraduate level of School Management, at a public university of Ceará. As a subsidy for the identification of the analysis categories present on the reports of the respondents, the Wordle.net tool was used. The results refer to the understanding of the role of the school leader in modern times in regard to the technological challenges in the school environment, as well as the challenges in school management relating to the use of ICTs and the possible contributions of the use of ICTs in the learning process. The study findings indicate that there is a need to invest in training courses for the school leader, considering the use of technology in the educational scenario, given that the school leader needs to take on an interactive, critical, creative, facilitative and supportive approach, to implement more democratic teaching practices in order to make the school a motivating environment and more conducive to learning.
