| Abstract: | The exercise of strolling as a formative element of the chronic was defined by Alencar in the chronicles that he published between 1854/1855. Even without the balance between reality and fiction, the author is firmed as a precursor of the genre by revealing in his writing, fundamental characteristics of the modern chronic. |
