| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este trabalho traz abordagens sobre o estudo da poesia popular na obra de José de Alencar. Nosso romancista introduziu, em sua obra, gêneros populares que falam sobre nossa terra e nossa gente. Seu projeto literário analisa a Literatura Brasileira de forma ampla e profunda, atestando a presença de um sentimento colhido na alma do povo. Dessa forma, o escritor cearense demonstra seu espírito nacionalista e a busca pela identidade de nosso país. |
| Abstract: | This work concerns the study of popular poetry within José de Alencar’s work. Our novelist introduced some popular genres that speak of our land and [of] our people into his work. His literary project analyzes the Brazilian literature in a broad and deep way that testifies to a sentiment that emerges/flows from the very soul of the people. Thus, the cearense writer manifests his nationalistic spirit as well as his pursuit of our country’s identity. |
