| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Não se pode imaginar o quão perto está a literatura brasileira de outras literaturas americanas, em especial na América Latina. No século XIX escritores brasileiros construíram suas Identidades Nacionais ao mesmo tempo em que construíram sua Identidade Americana. Não havia uma diferença muito grande entre Brasil e América nas imagens brasileiras do Romantismo. Mesmo quando alguém diz que o instinto de “americanidade” criado por escritores românticos brasileiros vem de escritores hispano-americanos, podemos ver realmente uma relação clara entre o Brasil e países americanos. O objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar alguns trabalhos críticos escritos por autores brasileiros e hispano-americanos durante o século XIX. |
| Abstract: | People can’t imagine how close Brazilian Literature and other American Literatures are mainly in Latin America. In the 19th Century Brazilian writers built their National Identity at the same time they built their American Identity. There wasn’t a very big difference between Brazil and America in the Brazilian literary images from Romanticism. Even when somebody says that the instinct of “americanidade” created by Brazilian romantic wuriters came from the Spanish-American authors, we can really see a clear relationship between Brazil and American countries. This paper aims to think of some critical essays which were written by Brazilian and Spanish American authors during the 19th Century. |
