Associativismo civil contemporâneo: compromisso com qual projeto societário?

Abstract

The present study examines, in the light of historical and dialectical materialism of an ontological character, that which has been called the new associativity as opposed to collective actions and practices led by popular organizations and social movements, especially in the decades from 1960 to 1980 of the twentieth century in Brazil. Throughout the study, we analyze the political direction the civil association has taken, mainly sine the 1990s, as well as the different analytical approaches of this process. Finally, in the footsteps of revolutionary Marxist theory, it is concluded, that the struggles around which the modern civil associations articulate themselves are more committed to the improvement of the existing order than to the radical transformation of the capitalist form of sociability.
