Da leitura de mundo à leitura da palavra: a mediação da informação social à luz das teorias de Paulo Freire

Abstract

The aim is to relate the Freire’s theories to the field of mediation and social information through the study of the major works written by Paulo Freire. It aims at understanding how is the intermediation of information in communities with regard to the reality and the autonomy of individuals who are transformed daily. Therefore, it has the purpose of conceptualizing social information that has been configured in an essential condition for linking these theories through the literature search and review, whose the reading has allowed us to develop the analysis of textual context. To give empirical corpus to the listed theories of Paulo Freire and its interrelation with the mediation of social information, it gave evidence to the experiences, practices and living experiences that articulate the concepts in pragmatic and theoretical fields by the participants in their daily realities, and the relationships established through the dialogue between individuals. Thus, we present the mediation of information in the light of Paulo Freire’s ideas under two dimensions: a) the relationship of the dialog and political nature that are articulated by means of communication practices between individuals, and, b) the social practices of production, appropriation and access to the information in the community context and social movements in the context of the reading the world performed by the participants.
