Ignorantes, sujos e grosseiros: uma reinvenção da história do trabalhismo

Abstract

In this article it is addressed a point less developed in my Ph.D. thesis. Despire the expectation of deference to the 'father of the poor' and despite the fact that the 'invention of laborism' had prescribed a regulated citizenship for the working class, I state that paternalism, populism and corporatism are not apare from class struggle. Therefore, laborism is a historical phenomenon stressed not only by its purpose of tutelage but also by the possibiliry of its recreation and the menace of its disruption.
